CHOOSE EYEWEAR FRAMES AS PER FACE SHAPE

When selecting an appropriate frame shape, there are a number of factors to consider. The shape of your face should be the first consideration when selecting a frame. Following that, you can consider your skin tone in order to choose the frame colour. You might also think about how you will utilise the frames such as for everyday activities, sports, or reading. A variety of frames are available for different frame shapes. It’s crucial to work with an optician to get a style that complements your prescription.

Eyeglasses can make your features stand out perfectly and enhance your overall appearance. Recognize your face shape and seek out the most aesthetically pleasing frames.

1.    OVAL SHAPED FACES
Oval faces have wide cheekbones. Narrow forehead and chin. In other words, an oval face is considered a long rounded face. Oval faces are blessed as they can literally wear any frame shape and size and it will perfectly suit them. For an oval-shaped face, there is no barrier to colour, texture, and frame shape. Oversized and wide frames go perfectly with these face cuts.

2.    SQUARE SHAPED FACES
Square-shaped faces have well-defined and sharp jawlines. Choose a circular dark frame to bring attention to the most prominent features of square faces. A circular or round frame will beautifully add contrast to the angular features of the square-shaped faces. Rimless and semi-rimless can go well with this facial shape.

3.    TRIANGLE SHAPED FACES
Triangle face shapes are identical to square face shapes with the exception of their foreheads, which are smaller. Triangle-shaped faces are also known by the names “pear-shaped” or “base-down triangular” face shapes. Slim, wide foreheads and round chin characterise a triangle face. Wider top rim glasses can beautifully balance the features of a triangle face shape. Oval, Rectangular, Cat-eye, Aviator, and Browline glasses will look great on a triangle face cut.

4.    HEART-SHAPED FACES
High cheekbones, wide forehead, and towards the jawline or chin it narrows. For heart-shaped faces, look for smaller frame designs with less detail and a lower set temple. This face shape will look good-looking with Rectangle, wayfarer, and Aviator frames. When choosing frames for a heart-shaped face, the goal should be to keep the top half of the face in mind. Rectangular or wayfarer should be your priority to set off your features gracefully.

5.    ROUND SHAPED FACES
Wide foreheads, fuller cheeks, and rounded cheeks perfectly define a round face. This face type does not have any edginess or sharp cuts. A frame that features angles and adds definition to the face is appropriate for a round face. With equal proportion all over the face, angular frames rock. Look for sharply angled frames to add a little more definition. Rectangular, Cat-eye, Wayfarer, and square will flatter the overall look.

Always look for a frame size that sits proportionately to the size of your head and frame colour that beautifully complements the natural tone of your skin.
